MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES THERMAL SYSTEMS

Replace the system with a variable speed drive (inverter) centrifugal chiller for low-temperature chilled water supply

Replace a brine chiller used in cooling processes (approx. 1.5°C–3°C) for food and beverage processing factories with a highly efficient chiller for low-temperature chilled water supply, and achieve high efficiency with a simplified system

Before

The difference of temperature of 8°C between the chiller’s evaporating temperature of −5°C and the required process temperature of 3°C, results to high energy consumption.

After

The variable speed drive (inverter) centrifugal chiller does not require management of the concentration and chemical solution of the brine as well as the intermediate heat exchanger , enabling a simpler design for the production system.

Replacing a brine chiller with a low-temperature variable speed drive (inverter) centrifugal chiller can approximately improve significant energy saving and reduce CO2 emissions.

Energy saving example Food factory

Achieved significantly higher energy efficiency by replacing an existing ammonia chiller at a dairy factory with our low-temperature variable speed drive (inverter) centrifugal chiller for chilled water supply (1.5°C)
