Mitsubishi Heavy Industries developed the HYOZAN CO2 condensing unit, which adopts natural refrigerant CO2 technology with a Global warming potential (GWP) of 1 instead of R448A (GWP 1387) and R452A (GWP 2140). These are alternative refrigerants which provide low GWP to R404A (GWP 3920) and R410A (GWP 2090), which are mostly used in commercial condensing units.
